Field Recordings of the Bolivian Rainforest is one continuous mix of recordings made during the summer of 2019 in the Bolivian Amazon. The recordings were made in contrasting sites. Edges of settlements, retreats and remote areas at great distance from humans. The resulting recordings display a certain reflexive quality, a deep nocturnal swell of the rainforest is interrupted by a camera flash, the thin hiss of the daytime canopy is dogged by the sound of someone snoring. The richness of the aural environments is explored with a self conscious approach to try and unravel the thresholds of nature and how it is experienced.
